About
Morale Clash is a two-army formation puzzle. The enemy stands as a pixel-art picture made of coloured soldiers (a sunrise, a sailboat, a castle, a rainbow and more, one per level); your army waits below in four lines of numbered squads. Tap any of the first three squads of a line to send it to one of five posts (with every post taken, an idle squad makes room) (two more unlock at 30% and 60% of the enemy killed); squads on posts march out and attack only exposed enemy soldiers of the same colour (the lowest soldier of each column, or one whose side neighbour has fallen). Every duel is decided the same way: the side with the higher army-wide morale wins and the other soldier falls (equal morale, both fall). Your morale is your formation: +1 for each posted squad that has a target and +2 more for each pair of same-coloured squads side by side. The enemy's morale is its shield wall (how much of its front rank stands shoulder to shoulder in one colour) plus a steadiness that grows with the level. Your squads march only while your morale leads; while they wait, courage gathers (+1 every 1.5 s) and it ebbs again while they march; war drums add +4 for 5 s, twice per level. A recalled squad goes to the back of its line; running out of a colour while its enemies stand loses the battle. Three command modes: Manual, Auto (fixed rules) and AI (plays every possible move a few seconds ahead and picks the best, showing its plan). After a manual win the game shows the AI's own time and losses on the same level to beat. The battle is a deterministic integer simulation at 20 ticks per second with one seeded random generator, so every battle can be replayed exactly. Stars: three for losses within 1% of the enemy's numbers, two within 8%. Keyboard: 1-4 send a line's front squad, D beats the drums.
