About
A browser-only toolkit for working out where a photo was taken; the photo is read on the device and never uploaded. Photo & EXIF reads GPS position, altitude, camera heading, capture time with UTC offset (derived from the GPS clock when missing), camera model and 35 mm focal length (shown as field of view), links the position to OpenStreetMap and Google Maps, and lets you tap two points on the photo to measure pixel distance and angle. Sun & shadows has two modes: Known place gives sun azimuth, elevation, shadow length and direction, sunrise, solar noon and sunset, a day chart of times matching a measured shadow, and the camera heading from which walls are sunlit; Unknown place turns a capture time plus shadow length and optional direction into the band of places on a world map where the sun stood that high, refining as you zoom. Clue lookup decodes Chinese licence plates and landline area codes, international calling codes, driving side by country and overseas territories, in English or Chinese. Geometry covers distance and bearing, walking a bearing from a point, distance from an object's known size, field of view, satellite-dish pointing and longitude, and WGS-84/GCJ-02/BD-09 conversion. English and Chinese interface.
Put it on your page
Paste these two lines where the item should appear. Replace YOUR_PUBLIC_ID with the public id from your account; add the domains you publish on and it works at once. Get your public id →

data-account="YOUR_PUBLIC_ID" async></script>
<div data-iframe="geo-sleuth" data-ratio="4:3"></div>
data-slot="sidebar"names the position, so two slots on one page can show different items and be switched separately.data-launch="click"keeps whatever you put inside the div (an image, a button) until the visitor clicks, then loads the item.data-ratio="16:9"sets the frame shape;autolets the item report its own height.
Every slot is a live embed: from your account you can switch what it shows later, for one page or all of them, without editing your pages.
